It's so difficult to choose one over the other.

When the time comes, will the Los Angeles Lakers retire Kobe Bryant's No. 8 or No. 24 jersey? On Sunday, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak spoke at a season ticket holder event and revealed another option. "I don't know the answer," he said. "Obviously it's going to be 8, 24 or it could be both."

When he played alongside Shaquille O'Neal, Bryant rocked the No. 8 and won three consecutive NBA titles. When he decided to try and capture a ring on his own, the Black Mamba wore the No. 24 and won two additional chips. These are two different, but very significant eras that collectively make up Kobe's illustrious 20-year career. It's hard to choose one number over the other, so Kupchak should probably just hang up both in the rafters.

What do you think? Should one number be chosen over the other? Or, is it only right to have both numbers retired?
