The Rams are moving to Los Angeles after spending the last 20 years in St. Louis and predictably, owner Stan Kroenke, the man behind the move, is public enemy No. 1 in the Gateway City.

News broke Tuesday evening that the Rams would be relocating to their former home for the start of the 2016 NFL season and one fan attending the Blues game against the Devils captured the sentiment of the city when the Scottrade Center spontaneously started to serenade Kroenke.

A Missouri native, Kroenke is moving the Rams to Los Angeles for a number of reasons, including a lack of a desirable stadium proposal from the city of St. Louis. But, as it always does, it comes down to the money and the prospects of starting anew in the lucrative Los Angeles area, where Kroenke already owns a huge parcel of land on which he plans to build a new stadium, were too good to pass up. NFL owners approved the franchise's relocation by a vote of 30-2.

“This has been the most difficult process of my professional career,” Kroenke, who Forbes reports is worth $7.5 billion, said in a released statement. “While we are excited about the prospect of building a new stadium in Inglewood, California, this is bittersweet. St. Louis is a city known for its incredibly hard-working, passionate and proud people. Being part of the group that brought the NFL back to St. Louis in 1995 is one of the proudest moments of my professional career. Reaching two Super Bowls and winning one are things all St. Louisans should always treasure.”

There's no place like home, right Stan?
