A game of Madden ended in tragedy in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Thursday night after an unidentified teen allegedly shot and killed his 16-year-old friend on accident while celebrating a touchdown by waving a gun around.

According to the New York Daily News, Denzil Nash was shot in the head at around 9 p.m. last night while playing a game of Madden with a friend. Police believe the friend removed a gun from his waistband after scoring a touchdown in the game and stuck it in front of Nash while gloating. The gun then went off—police believe it was fired unintentionally—and wounded Nash. He was rushed to a hospital but died a short time later.

Police have not charged anyone with a crime yet, but they do have the suspected shooter in custody. So sad.
