Over the weekend, Amar'e Stoudemire not only stopped by his old stomping grounds of New York City to face his former team, the Knicks. Stoudemire also stirred the pot a bit when he told ESPN that not everyone was a fan of Jeremy Lin being the new star in the Big Apple.

The easy assumption is that STAT was referring to Carmelo Anthony being the one who wasn't so enthusiastic about sharing the spotlight with Lin.

On Monday, Anthony posted a couple of quotes on Twitter which appear to be in response to Amar'e's remarks. We'll let you be the judge.

When asked about Stoudemire's comments prior to Sunday's game between the Knicks and Miami Heat, Melo told ESPN, "If that was the case then I'd be upset right now with KP [Kristaps Porzingis], if he's talking about me. I doubt if [Stoudemire is] talking about me. I doubt that. I highly doubt that." Yet, these quotes from The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene seem to suggest otherwise, huh?

Either way, Anthony is focused on continuing to #StayMe7o, which also sounds like one great double entendre, no?
