Toronto Raptors All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan is the arguably the best player in Canada. But it seems that the Air Canada Centre security either didn't get the memo or they don't know the roster of the team playing at the arena they're working.

DeRozan arrived to the arena on Sunday for an interview with ESPN's Doris Burke before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers. He was stopped by the Raptors' arena security after they apparently didn't recognize him, Cavs beat reporter Chris Haynes says on Twitter. To make matters even more awkward, they called for backup to verify him as an actual Raptors team member.

Once the backup security arrived, the guards were told that he was one of the team's "best players."

Let's see if the security guards who initially denied one of the best players "up North" will be deemed extra cautious while on the job or out of a job come Monday.
