Could Kenny Smith's days with the NBA on TNT crew be numbered? According to ESPN's Calvin Watkins, Smith will meet with owner Les Alexander and general manager Daryl Morey to interview for the Houston Rockets' head coaching job tomorrow. And if things go well, The Jet could be saying goodbye to Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley in the very near future.

Smith's ties to the Rockets extend beyond his six seasons with the organization, where he helped lead the team to back-to-back championships. Watkins also claims Kenny has a "good relationship" with Alexander.

While becoming the Rockets' next head coach would be a move up for The Jet, we would hate to see him essentially break up the amazing, always entertaining NBA on TNT crew. After all, it's not going to be easy to find someone who can work so seamlessly with Chuck, Shaq and E.J. There aren't many analysts out there who can go on live TV and tackle the most hot-button issues, like he did when confronting Barkley over their opposing views on race relations in America

Throughout their years together, one thing that has made NBA on TNT such a great show is their outstanding chemistry. Every night, the crew gives something new and always hilarious, whether it's a weird Photoshopped picture or a terrible prank on The Jet.

Oh, and by the way, does Kobe Bryant's TNT analyst offer still stand? The network may need to take him up on that.
