Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor has been accused of rape by an exotic dancer. The 27-year-old woman, whose name wasn't released, performs at a Philly gentlemen's club called Cheerleaders, and told police the alleged crime took place Thursday afternoon in the club. Agholor was there along with a pair of teammates, according to sources.

Cheerleaders is located just minutes from the Eagles' training facility, the NovaCare Complex, where they just finished their final offseason workout.

Agholor has not been charged with a crime, though he is expected to be interviewed by the authorities soon.

Police commissioner Richard Ross indicated there was an investigation underway, telling Philly Mag, "There was an allegation made against one of the [Eagles] players of a sexual assault that was reported by one of the female dancers. Our Special Victims Unit is actively running on the investigation.” He also said they are attempting to find video footage from the club.

The Eagles released a statement about the matter:
