Over the course of the next few days, all eyes are going to be on unrestricted free agent Kevin Durant. Even though there’s a “90 percent” chance he’s ultimately going to re-sign with the Thunder, according to a report from The Undefeated, KD is also going to meet with the Warriors, Spurs, Clippers, Celtics, and Heat in the coming days (check out how those teams might try to pitch him here), just to see what other options he has. And if he actually decides to make a move and leave Oklahoma City, it would likely shift the entire balance of power in the NBA and cause a domino effect as it relates to other current NBA free agents.
KD isn’t going to make his final decision until at least Sunday when he has his final meeting with the Heat, though, so while we wait on him to tell the world what he plans to do, we’ll be keeping an eye on all of the other free agency signings that are made. As soon as the clock struck 12:01 a.m. on Friday, NBA free agents like DeMar DeRozan, Harrison Barnes, Hassan Whiteside, Mike Conley, Andre Drummond, and more were free to begin negotiating with teams on new contracts, and there have already been a bunch of really interesting moves made. It can get a little bit confusing keeping up with it all, so we’re going to keep a running list of every single signing made during the 2016 NBA free agency here.
