For a guy who hates doing press conferences, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick sure has a lot of memorable press conference moments, doesn’t he? There was the time he made fun of a reporter for wearing golf shoes to a media session, the time he told reporters he doesn’t use "Snapface," and, of course, the time he refused to tell reporters why he had a black eye. Fun times! Being a Patriots' beat reporter must be a blast.
Belichick added one more moment to the mix on Friday morning when a reporter pressed him on whether or not Tom Brady will start at quarterback for the Patriots during Week 5 of the NFL season after he serves his four-game Deflategate suspension. The obvious answer to that question is "Yes," but it seems Belichick has been already grown tired of that question since New England’s training camp started. So when he was asked about it yet again, he rolled his eyes, shot the reporter who asked the question a look of absolute disgust, and then mumbled, "Jesus Christ," under his breath:
The Patriots actually removed those words from the official transcript of the press conference:
But you can hear them clear as day in the clip above. Just a reminder that we are still more than two months from Brady’s return. So if Belichick is already pissed off about the Brady questions now, can you even imagine how he’s going to react to them in a week or two? Welp.
