Jarrett Jack Had the Saltiest Response to Jeremy Lin Signing With the Nets

Jarrett Jack didn't take the news that Jeremy Lin was replacing him on the Brooklyn Nets well.

Early Friday morning, Jeremy Lin announced that he will not be returning to the Charlotte Hornets next season. Instead, he's bringing Linsanity back to New York City and playing for…the Nets?! Yes, the Nets:

The journey continues...thankful for the next chapter!! #Godisgood pic.twitter.com/1PLutlFbyO

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Nets have reportedly agreed to pay Lin $36 million over the next three years to be their point guard:

Lin will replace Jarrett Jack, who played for the Nets for the last two seasons. Brooklyn released Jack on Thursday after failing to find a trade partner for him:

The Nets, unable to find a trade for Jarrett Jack, just announced Jack's release

And it appears that Jack had a really (really!) salty response to Lin signing a deal with his now-former team. Here’s what he posted on Twitter a short time after the Lin deal was announced:

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Welp. He then posted this:

There are more things that make me laugh more than basketball please don't feed into the dumb stuff

— JARRETT JACK (@Jarrettjack03) July 1, 2016

And this:

Guess the timing wasn't the best but oh well

— JARRETT JACK (@Jarrettjack03) July 1, 2016

And this:

Hey man y'all really believing this huh

— JARRETT JACK (@Jarrettjack03) July 1, 2016

But most people still assume he was shading Lin and the Nets, and NBA Twitter responded right away by throwing shade back in Jack's direction:

Thank you @hornets for the opportunity last year...I'll miss you #BuzzCity

Lin hasn’t responded—and we wouldn’t expect a response from him—but he did post this tweet thanking the Hornets:

What a way to start your tenure with a new team!
