Space Jam 2 is, sadly, still not out. There have been talks about LeBron James possibly starring in the sequel to Michael Jordan's classic 1995 film, but thus far, those talks have led to...well, nothing. The original Space Jam director Joe Pytka has even referred to the project as "doomed." But fortunately for us, there is a Space Jam 3 now (yes, 3!) thanks to Jeremy Lin and YouTube star Ryan Higa, who teamed up recently to put together a Space Jam spoof inspired by anime and video games. It's one of the strangest things you're going to see on Friday, but it's already racked up more than one million views on YouTube and is worth about seven minutes of your time.

In Lin and Higa's interpretation of the classic Space Jam story, Lin gets sucked into a world of live-action actors (hey, animation is expensive) through his computer and then proceeds to tutor a number of characters with a set of jokes that you probably won't understand if you've never embraced anime. But it's just weird enough and there are just enough Space Jam references—like Lin stretching his arm just like MJ did in the movie—to keep you interested. Now that Lin is running with the Nets for the next three years, this might be the best performance you see from him for quite some time.

You can check out the Space Jam 3 spoof in the clip above. It's not Space Jam 2, but for now, it will have to do.
