Even when Joseph Randle is behind bars, he still finds a way to get himself into trouble. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Wichita Eagle, a detention deputy is claiming Randle threatened to kill him because he was denied a phone call.

On May 14, the deputy refused to let the former Dallas Cowboys running back use the phone at 8:02 because Randle was offered an opportunity to make a call by another deputy working an earlier shift but refused. Randle allegedly responded to the deputy's denial by saying, "I will kill you I swear on my life and everything that I have I will kill you when I get out."

Over the last two years, the 24-year-old has gone from holding down a starting NFL running back job with America's Team to having absolutely no chance of returning to the league ever again. After getting arrested for shoplifting cologne and underwear, Randle continued to venture down the wrong path. Last February, he was arrested on a misdemeanor drug charge after police were called to investigate a potential domestic violence incident.

Randle is currently being held in Sedgwick County Jail on a $50,000 bond and will be in court on July 26 for allegedly hitting three people with a car, interfering with officers who were trying to serve him with a warrant, and the most recent case of making a criminal threat.
