Kevin Durant got an early taste of the type of crowd reaction he's sure to hear a lot next NBA season when fans gathered at the Staples Center in Los Angeles booed him before Team USA's 106-57 Olympic warmup game against China on Sunday night. Not surprisingly, the Los Angeles fans also booed his teammate Draymond Green.

KD didn't seem too bothered by it. When he was informed about the boos that he received after the game, the Warriors superstar claimed he didn't hear the jeers and actually sounded surprised when he was told about them. "I did?" he asked. "Huh, I didn't hear it."

Maybe KD is already immune to all of the criticism that's being thrown his way or maybe he just chose to ignore it. But either way, it did happen and it was important enough to be the leading topic on the new look ESPN First Take on Monday morning:

Golden State general manager Bob Myers had his own theory for why KD was booed at the Staples Center. "I think it's Clipper fans because they cheered DeAndre [Jordan]," he said. "That's just my guess."

Despite the less-than-warm greeting, KD led all Team USA scorers in Sunday evening's contest with 19 points, and afterwards, he must have been feeling diplomatic because he gave credit to the same crowd that booed him. "The crowd here tonight was great," he said, "so hopefully it's just as good at Oracle."

By that, he's referring to Team USA's next Olympic warmup game, which will take place at Oracle Arena on Tuesday night, home of the Warriors. You're definitely going to hear a much different reaction when KD takes the court there.
