When’s the last time you thought about Latrell Sprewell? SLAMpublished a pretty interesting feature on him in early July, and he was also featured in a Priceline commercial back in February. But if you missed both of those things, then there’s a good chance that your answer to that question is "2005," which is the last time Sprewell played in the NBA. Since leaving the league, Sprewell has refused to do many interviews, and he hasn’t had a strong connection with any NBA team, so he has more or less fallen off the face of the earth and become an afterthought for most basketball fans.

That all changed on Tuesday, though, when the photo above started making the rounds. The photo is actually not new. The site OnMilwaukee.com used it to announce that Sprewell will be conducting a live podcast with Michael Rapaport on July 29:

OnMilwaukee.com also used the same photo in an article they published back in January. And if you do a quick search for "Sprewell blonde" on Twitter, you’ll find that people have been tweeting about seeing Sprewell out in Milwaukee with blonde dreads as far back as 2014:

But despite the fact that the photo seems to be pretty old (for what it’s worth, Sprewell’s dreads were not blonde in his Priceline commercial), most people are seeing it for the first time on Tuesday and reacting accordingly. Much like they did when Jeremy Lin showed off his new French braids last week and when Andrew Bynum was spotted with a blonde afro in May, people on Twitter are running wild with Sprewell’s photo (and making more Fetty Wap comparisons than we can count!).

Here are some of the reactions we’ve seen so far to Sprewell’s photo:

Do Sprewell’s blonde dreads still exist? Guess we’ll find out when he sits down with Rapaport later this week.
