It’s been a big day for Kevin Durant. First, he announced that he will be signing with the Warriors. Then, he had to deal with the backlash that came along with it. But at the end of the day, making a move from Oklahoma City to Golden State might be the best thing for his career—and it’s not just because playing alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green gives him an excellent chance to win his first NBA title!

KD got some other big news Monday afternoon. Even though Lil B said that he would not lift the Based God Curse from KD—the same curse KD has been dealing with since 2012—if he signed with the Warriors this summer, it seems the rapper has changed his mind. He took to Twitter a short time after KD announced that he was coming to Golden State and revealed that he is *gasp* officially lifting the Based God Curse from KD, effective immediately:

This isn’t the first time Lil B has lifted the curse from KD. He did it back in 2012 as well before putting it back on him later. But it should stick this time since KD is now playing for Lil B’s favorite team. And now that KD and Lil B are on the same side, we might be able to get that game of 1-on-1 between the two that we’ve all been waiting on for years now. Hey, stranger things—like KD signing with the Warriors!—have happened, right?
