Ellen DeGeneres is receiving widespread backlash from several people on social media after she tweeted a photo of herself being piggybacked by Usain Bolt on the now-famous photo of himself smiling while leading his competition in the Olympic 100m semifinals.

This didn't sit well with many who saw this picture, and a multitude of people came with their fingers pointed accusing the comedian and daytime talk show host of being a racist.

DeGeneres was quick to deny these allegations and tweeted in response to the controversy:

Ellen's humor usually fairs well with the public when she does parodies of pop culture on her daytime talk show and in her tweets. But when it come to black celebrities, she usually treads lightly. But in the age of social media, this picture quickly put Ellen's credibility into question, simply for linking race with her and a man who makes a living dusting everyone in races.
