There have been quite a few Olympians who have sh*t themselves in their biggest moments over the course of the last two weeks. At least, figuratively speaking. Those athletes spent the last four years training their butts off only to come up small when it mattered most during competition. But now, the Olympics have gifted us (errr...) with a guy who appeared to literally sh*t himself while competing on Friday.

That Olympian is French race walker (yes, race walker) Yohann Diniz. He was taking part in a 50km endurance race on Friday—and leading that race comfortably—when cameras appeared to catch him dealing with, well, a really sh*tty situation. If you're eating right now or plan to eat anytime within the next, oh, let's say 24 hours, you might not want to look at what we're about to show you. But here's a close-up that was captured by Twitter user @nick_pants for the world to see:

Reports from those watching indicate Diniz may have been using a sponge to clean himself off during the race (hopefully not the same sponge he was wiping his face off with in the photo above?!?):

Yohann Diniz collapses at the Rio Olympics.

And things actually got worse—much worse—for Diniz towards the end of the race. He kept right on racing in spite of his obvious issues and ended up collapsing at one point:

And despite having a substantial lead at the beginning of the race, he finished a full six minutes behind the eventual winner. Definitely not his finest moment, but hey, you have to give him a lot of credit here. At least he finished, right?
