Keith Appling, who spent time with the Orlando Magic during the 2015-16 NBA season, has been arrested yet again on gun charges in Michigan. The former Michigan State guard has now been arrested three times in 2016 for illegally possessing firearms.

According to The Detroit News, Appling was pulled over by Detroit police at around 9 p.m. on Sunday night for a traffic infraction. However, after initially pulling his 2013 Dodge Challenger to the side of the road for police, he reportedly took off after a cop approached his car, and police say he tossed a bag containing a handgun out the window as he attempted to make his getaway. Police were able to track him down a short time later, and after retracing the route he took in an attempt to flee from police, they were able to track down the bag containing the gun as well. The Detroit News is reporting the gun was identified as a semi-automatic Beretta with 10 live rounds inside of it. Appling was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding and carrying a concealed gun. He may also face a drug-related charge because the cop who approached Appling's car during the initial stop reportedly smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle.

Appling was arrested for the first time this year back in May after he was allegedly found to be carrying a gun outside of a strip club in Dearborn, Mich. He was then arrested again in June after police pulled a Dodge Charger over for speeding in Detroit and witnessed Appling, a passenger in the vehicle, stuff a gun under one of the seats in the car. And to make his most recent arrest that much worse, Appling is reportedly due in court this week to answer to those first two arrests and to find out when he will go on trial for them:

This latest incident is certainly not going to help his case. Appling is yet to release a statement regarding his third arrest.
