Shaquille O'Neal "ran wild" in the wilderness with Bear Grylls on Running Wild with Bear Grylls on Monday night, just like President Obama and Nick Jonas before him. And during the duo's trip to the Adirondack Mountains, the host covered the 7-foot-1, 350-pound O'Neal with enough leaves to fill a forest as you can see in the hilarious clip above.

The purpose of the exercise was simple. Covering Shaq with leaves would provide him with a waterproof covering at night that would also keep him warm. The Hall of Fame big man took things a step further as he's known to do by looking right into the camera at one point and saying, "I want no one, or nothing, to see me. Not a coyote, not a moose, not a bear, not even another leaf." No word on whether or not the leaves would actually protect him from a bear, but as far as we know Shaq survived the experience, so they must have done the trick.

After showing Shaq what it would feel like to be covered in leaves, Bear built a fire and made either deer or moose placenta to eat. And while that might not sound all that tasty, it sure beats the time Grylls tried to get President Obama to drink pee.
