Former USC and Oakland Raiders quarterback Todd Marinovich was arrested Friday night after he was found naked in a person's backyard in Irvine, California. Irvine police received a complaint call at around 9 p.m. (local time) about someone in the area without any clothes on. When the authorities found Marinovich, he was not only completely nude, but TMZ Sports is reported that a brown bag was also found containing meth, marijuana, and his I.D. card.

Marinovich was "cited for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana," according to the Orange County Register

Marinovich rose to fame in 1988 following a Sports Illustratedprofile titled "Bred to be a Superstar" that highlighted how his father worked diligently throughout his life to ensure that his son would become the "perfect quarterback." The hard work eventually paid off when he attended USC. But the San Leandro, California native also had a breakdown, of sorts, in his freshman year, reportedly telling his mother he wished he could "go somewhere else and be someone else."

In his last year with the Trojans, Marinovich excelled on the field, but his troubles off the field started to surface when he was arrested for cocaine possession shortly before entering the NFL Draft. The Raiders ignored the potential red flags involving the young signal caller and took him with the 24th overall pick in the 1991 Draft. Marinovich played just two seasons in a Raiders jersey because numerous substance abuse problems took over his life.

Last year, Marinovich appeared in a CBS Los Angeles segment about his alma mater, suggesting his drug issues were behind him. Unfortunately, it appears that wasn't the case.
