Toronto Raptors Will Play Preseason Games In Vancouver & Calgary

The Raptors will fly to the west coast for their NBA Canada series.

This fall, the Toronto Raptors will take to the road in preseason action. Even more exciting? The team will play two exhibition games in Vancouver and Calgary. This is the fifth year that the Raps have implemented their NBA Canada series, which sees them clash against other teams on Canadian soil. The special events have helped to make the squad “Canada’s team”, and have sold out arenas to legions of fans. This time around, the events will include interactive elements, with games, food, and appearances by NBA legends.

This year, Vancouver’s Rogers Centre will host the Raps and Warriors on October 1st. Two days later, on October 3rd, DeRozan, Lowry, and the North will square off against the Nuggets in Calgary. The latter stop will be the Raps first trip to Alberta in eight years. The last time they did so, was in Edmonton, where the same two teams hosted yet another exhibition game.  The Raps will get an early look at the newly signed Kevin Durant, and will of course, be in tough against the reigning MVP, Steph Curry.

The games will broadcast live on Canada's TSN network. Both dates are likely to sell out quickly, so be sure to snag tickets when they go live this Friday. You can cop them on Ticketmaster starting September 2nd.
