A female student was reportedly robbed with a semi-automatic gun and at knifepoint in her off-campus apartment near the Western Michigan University campus on Friday night by two freshman players from the school's football team.

According to WWMT.com, the university's campus police reported that the robbery occurred around 9 p.m. WMU officials confirmed that local police had to force their way into her apartment after a key was lodged into the lock on the door and had broken off to respond to the crime.

The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old wide receiver Bryson White, and 18-year-old linebacker Ron George. Both players were taken into custody overnight after they were found by Kalamazoo County police in a car on campus with a weapons and stolen money.

Upon hearing this crazy news of the incident, the WMU football coach PJ Fleck didn't waste any time to suspend both players from the team indefinitely. He stated his ire for both player's actions:

"Having heard this news early this morning, I took action to immediately suspend both freshman players indefinitely. We expect to learn more about these allegations today. I'm extremely disappointed and want to assure the community that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university. The students will be held accountable to all University student- code, Athletic-student athlete and Football Code of conduct standards. Violations of these standards can lead to dismissal from the team and University."

The university's spokesperson Cheryl Roland also stated that both players are currently banned from the WMU campus during the case's investigation. Kalamazoo County Sheriff department have stated the suspects could be arraigned this Sunday.
