There are lasers being shot on the field of tonight's Baylor-Rice football game. Yes. Lasers. Green ones. Dancing on the field.

After the laser pointer made an appearance near Rice quarterback Nate German as he scrambled, the referees huddled and debated what to do. Then the head ref got on the microphone and politely requested that fans, like, not do that anymore, guys.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please refrain from shooting lasers onto the field. Thank you."

Something similar happened in a Buffalo Bills-Detroit Lions game two years ago. A Lions fan shot a laser pointer into the eyes of Bills players. Police caught the fan, and he received a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct.

Baylor currently leads 21-10 at halftime in what has been a very forgettable college football game. Forgettable, that is, aside from the lasers.
