Come for the football—stay for the brutal, cringeworthy fights in the stands between crazy and/or drunk people! That seems to be the NFL's formula for entertaining the fans who show up to watch their games in person. How else can you explain the flurry of fights we've seen in NFL crowds so far this season?
The most recent one came on Thursday night during the Cardinals game against the 49ers in San Francisco. According to Deadspin, it took place after two couples got into it in the stands in the middle of the game, and it ended with one of those couples reportedly getting tossed from the game after a brawl broke out in the section involving multiple people who didn't appear to play any part in the initial fight. In the video above, you can see two guys going at it at first before the women who were with them start fighting as well. The scene then devolves into total chaos, and in another video of the fight below, you can also randomly hear someone yell "Happy birthday!" at one point, which just makes the whole thing even more ridiculous than it already was. Whatever these people were fighting about couldn't have possibly been worth all of this commotion.
Unfortunately, this won't be the last NFL fan fight that you see this season—or hell, this weekend. If there's one thing we've learned in recent years, it's that these kinds of things are going to happen when you've got thousands of people crammed into a bunch of tiny seats at a football game.
