A rivalry between a pair of ex-world champs from Puerto Rico went freakin' haywire on Saturday night after the winning boxer, Juan Manuel Lopez, continued to fight well after he KO'd his opponent, Wilfredo Vazquez, in the 11th round by heading towards the edge of the ring to exchange blows with his corner man. A number of other angles were caught of the bizarre post-bout throw down, including this angle from the stands:

And this angle....from the stands:

Despite both boxers being well past their primes, tensions leading up to this fight had reportedly been exceptionally high (even by boxing standards) prior to the match, with each fighter performing in front of their fellow countrymen. Manuel Lopez hadn't fought in more than two years, and he had lost three of his last four fights. Meanwhile the loss for Vazquez marks his third straight defeat.

After order was somehow restored, both Manuel Lopez and Vazquez embraced one another in the ring. What a show of sportsmanship! It's unclear what type of disciplinary action Manuel Lopez—or the corner man—will face for igniting the impromptu brawl, but we'd bet heavily that that's being figured out at this very moment.
