Protests at NFL games this season went from arguably patriotic to downright weird during the Lions-Bears game in Chicago on Sunday. Someone decided that if Bears and Lions weren't enough wildlife to take the field at Soldier Field, why not have a gorilla join in? He did so in style when he stormed the field as he wore an orange hat—if that has any significance— and an "All Lives Matter" shirt on top of his gorilla costume.

You can see in the clip above that the protester ran onto the field during the fourth quarter of the game, and ran around like a Sasquatch believably seen in full view for several seconds. Then the protester eventually gave up after they noticed several stadium security officers began to chase him down, and ultimately slid onto the field like he were a quarterback who rushed the ball out of the pocket afraid to get tackled by defensive linemen. Once the stadium security caught up with the briefly elusive gorilla, they jumped on top of the demonstrator and detained the gorilla suit-wearing idiot.

The protester believed it was the perfect time for responding to the several NFL players' initiative to not stand during the National Anthem. And to their credit, it's October and Halloween is less than a month away, so it's seasonably appropriate to try on new costumes this month. As for his logic of playing dress-up for all to see during the game, this guy simply pined for attention, got exactly what he wanted, and that was the only thing that mattered to him. Not "All Lives Matter" like his shirt read.
