Some of the greatest sports stories are exaggerated. Others are just pure fiction. And then there are the ones that are so funny, you don't mind if they stretch the truth a little. Enter go90 and its new mockumentary series, The 5th Quarter, which takes a deep dive into epic sports stories that just so happen to be completely made up. The end result is comedic bliss.

Produced by OBB Pictures with 3 Arts Entertainment and Kids at Play, the 12-episode series kicked off this week with“But I’m Just a Little Boy,”in which Blake Griffin stars as Clif Cliff Adele, a 7-year-old basketball phenom who led his team to the 2002 AAU under seven national basketball championships. The problem is that little Clif Cliff is actually a 32-year-old man pretending to be a kid and somehow no one seemed to notice until the end of the season.

With cameos from the likes of Donnell Rawlings, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, the first episode of The 5th Quartersets the stage for what is sure to be a hilarious series. Despite not saying a single word in the 14-minute episode, Griffin kills it in every reenacted scene he’s in. He would easily win an Oscar for Best Non-Verbal Performance by an Athlete Pretending to Be a Kid if that were actually a thing. Don’t believe us? Check out the full clip above and see for yourself. New episodes premiere Wednesdays on go90.
