A high school team in Massachusetts pulled off a miraculous victory, or fell flat on its face (depending on how you want to look at it) with an ending so bonkers that it got featured on ESPN's website. Here's the background.

As you no doubt know, Lynn Classical High was playing Lynn English High in their probably annual game. Classical held a 15-12 lead late in the fourth quarter, but English scored a TD with eight seconds left to take it from them and post their own 20-15 lead. During the following kickoff, Classical fumbled and English recovered with three seconds left, causing their hyped up overzealous fans to rush the field since they apparently didn't realize :03 left on the scoreboard indicates that the game hasn't ended yet. Too bad for all of them that a flag was actually thrown during the kickoff for illegal procedure, and consequently English had to re-kick the ball.

This could only end badly for them.

During the second return, Classical pulled one of those lateral plays that never work except that it actually did work, and they ended up winning the game 21-20, giving each fan base a tale they can pass down to their grandkids someday.

You can do it too, we guess. Assuming you've long since run out of stories to tell, and want to pass down that time you accidentally stumbled across the ending between two high school teams you never heard of on a website during a slow news morning on the day after Thanksgiving.
