The excerpts from George Karl's upcoming autobiography Furious George released on Tuesday have everyone in the basketball world talking about the author's vitriol. One of the former NBA coach's targets, Kenyon Martin, has seen enough and struck back at Karl via Twitter.
Similar to DeMarcus Cousins' tweet in June 2015 about Karl being a snake, the former NBA All-Star Martin had a lot to say in reaction to his former Nuggets coach's comments, dubbing them "lies." You can read Martin's tweets below.
K-Mart's rebuttal to Karl's commentary didn't stop there.
Karl attacked J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony in the book as well. The coach dubbed Anthony a "true conundrum" with a "low demand of himself on defense" during games. Martin gave his own take on the issue.
And it didn't stop there for K-Mart. He accused Karl for being responsible for former Nuggets GM Kiki Vandeweghe losing his job, saying that Karl allegedly "told the staff they can't serve 2 Kings [sic]." Vandeweghe was fired back from the team in May 2006.
Karl coached the Nuggets from 2005 to 2013, and Martin played for the team from 2004 to 2011. We're just waiting to hear reactions from J.R. Smith and Melo himself.
