D'Aundre Holmes-Wilfork, the 19-year-old son of Texans star defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and a safety for the University of Houston football team, is likely having a rough winter break after he was arrested last week for allegedly driving around with a large amount of codeine in his car in Houston. For the uninitiated, codeine is a drug found in cough syrup that can be mixed with a variety of beverages and used recreationally. It provides users with "mild euphoric side effects."

Holmes-Wilfork reportedly had 381 grams of codeine on him at the time of his arrest, according to TMZ Sports. He was arrested after he was pulled over during a routine traffic stop around midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 21 in the Houston suburb of Friendswood, Texas, which is his hometown. The arrest could end up landing Holmes-Wilfork in some pretty serious trouble, too.

According to TMZ Sports, Holmes-Wilfork was arrested on the spot for "possession of a substance in penalty group 4," which is listed as a felony. That means that he could face anywhere from two to 20 years in prison in addition to a $10,000 fine if he is ultimately convicted. At this time, neither Holmes-Wilfork nor his father have spoken publicly about the arrest.

Wilfork and the Texans clinched the AFC South division and a playoff berth on Saturday night thanks to a win against the Bengals.
