Amanda Nunes Apologizes for Trolling Ronda Rousey

Amanda Nunes posted a heartfelt apology to Ronda Rousey on her Instagram page.

On Tuesday, the same day that we learned that Dana White doesn't expect Ronda Rousey to ever fight again professionally, Amanda Nunes took to her Instagram account to apologize to Rousey for trolling her in the days following Nunes' first round beatdown of Ronda at UFC 207:

Nunes's words, which certainly appear to be heartfelt:

"Let me take a moment to explain myself. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline, emotion and hurt at the time. I held so much in during the weeks prior to my fight with Ronda. I might have said or posted some things at the time that I now realize was not the right thing to do. I want to apologize to Ronda. Her fans and mine and the UFC as well. Ronda is an amazing athlete and has done so much for this sport, especially for the women. #respect šŸ™šŸ¦"

While her apology wasn't especially specific, it could refer to her donning a lion mask at the UFC 207 weigh-in, her posting this meme less than an hour after their fight ended...:

...her telling TMZ that Rousey was "overrated,"Ā or her doing something that we totally freakin' forgot about.

Your guess is almost as good as ours.

It's unclear if Ronda has (or will) accept this apology, on account of her being totally off the grid. So we'll just have to wing it and guess that yeah, she probably did/would.
