Johnny Manziel is doing his best to move on from past transgressions in 2017, and it looks like he'll have a partner-in-crime to move forward with. The former star quarterback got engaged on Friday, putting the exclamation point on a whirlwind romance with model Bre Tiesi.

Manziel's love affair with Tiesi reached the public eye in late December, when the pair was spotted together down in Miami Beach. Apparently things have gone pretty well ever since, with Manziel deciding to pop the question during a trip to Paris just a few months later.

The relationship with Tiesi appears to have had a positive impact on Manziel. He told TMZ, "When you find a girl as amazing as I did that saved me from where I was in my life, you absolutely put a ring on it." Manziel also took to Twitter late last night to express newfound happiness with his life, no doubt a product of the engagement:

According to NFL reporting whiz Adam Schefter, Tiesi has been supportive of Manziel's desire to eventually return to the NFL. Manziel went so far as to say he was a "douche" in 2016, and if she helps curtail that part of him it can only help his ability to return to the gridiron.

Tiesi is perhaps best known as one of the leading ladies for Nick Cannon's Wild'n Out show, and was previously involved with Hulk Hogan's son Nick back in 2011. Her Instagram story on Friday told followers she was in shock, and said, "I couldn't imagine a day without [Manziel]."

If Tiesi is as strong an influence on Johnny Football as he claims, this might be the first step in his football comeback. Best of luck to the young couple.
