Go90 and Uninterrupted's new series, Speak Responsibly, features Steve Nash and Stu Holden talking to former and current athletes about the crazy times they've had during their playing careers. In episode two, NBA veteran Richard Jefferson shares how he couldn't wait to get to Houston on Draft Day to play alongside Steve Francis and the Rockets. Not only was he going to be able to play with The Franchise, but he was also going to be able to stay with his girlfriend. The latter is always a good reason to stay happy. However, things didn't end up going as expected for RJ.
The then-rookie soon found out that he was getting traded to the New Jersey Nets on the same night, and wasn't too pleased about it. Things turned for the better though when the Phoenix Suns traded Jason Kidd to the Nets for players to be named later.
