If you have yet to tune in to go90's QB1: Beyond The Lights, you are missing out. The show follows the lives of three of the top high school quarterbacks in the class of 2017. After watching this 10-part docu-series, viewers become fans of Tate Martell, Jake Fromm, and Tayvon Bowers as they wrapped up their high school careers and prepped for their first college football season. Although all three QB’s get equal amount of love on the show, one of them shines as the true fan favorite.

Bowers recently shared his emotional story with the The Players Tribune, a media company founded by Derek Jeter. The incoming college freshman goes into depth about his season-ending knee surgery, the loss of his father at a young age, and his eagerness to get back on the football field.  All the while he assures the world how ready he is for this next step. Hearing it firsthand from Tayvon demonstrates how lucky Wake Forest is to have him on their roster next year.
