Odell Beckham Jr. might have a new girlfriend in Iggy Azalea, and he's skipping Giants practices in order to hang with her in California.

Odell Beckham Jr. came under fire when he and his Giants teammates held a well-publicized boat party before their playoff game last winter, and plenty around the league lamented what a "distraction" the whole thing was for the team. If you thought that was bad, things are about to get a whole lot louder and more insufferable.

According to Page Six sources, Beckham has been skipping out on offseason training activities in order to "cozy up" to his alleged new girlfriend in California—none other than rapper Iggy Azalea. Page Six claims the pair were spotted out bowling this week, while the rest of his teammates were back in New Jersey getting reps in on the practice field.

TMZ has run a conflicting report claiming they aren't a couple, but that hasn't stopped fans from calling out Beckham for hanging out with Iggy:

Even prior to the Iggy rumors, Beckham was taking heat about his absence from practices, but he doesn't appear to be fazed by the whole thing. If you buy what he posts on Twitter as authentic, anyway:

"If they don't have a story these days they'll make one..." I might get that tatted😂😂 #StayTheCourse

The jokes are fun and all, but it's not as though Beckham Jr. has been the problem for the Giants the last few seasons. He has eclipsed 1,300 yards in all three seasons he has played, been fairly durable for a wideout his size, and is still a threat to take the top off of a defense any time he steps on the field. Blaming New York's struggles on his off-field activity is convenient, but his visibility away from the game has had very little impact on his production.

It's also worth mentioning that OTAs are supposed to be voluntary activities, even though they're often treated like mandatory exercises. If he's going to be shamed for not showing up—regardless of what the reason is—the team and the league should negotiate with the players union to call them mandatory. Whether he's dating Azalea or not, OBJ should be free to enjoy his off days in peace.
