Ronda Rousey Shares Her Prediction for the Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor Fight

Ronda Rousey was asked to make her official prediction for the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor superfight.

Ronda Rousey hasn’t done much press since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 back in December. But now that she’s playing a prominent role on ABC’s Battle of the Network Stars, it appears as though she’s coming out of her shell a little bit and getting back to doing interviews.

Rousey made an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday and talked about a robbery that took place at her home recently. She also stopped to talk with TMZ Sports later in the day and spoke about her upcoming wedding to fellow fighter Travis Browne, her bachelorette party plans, and her BOTNS stint. And in addition to discussing those things, she was also asked to share her prediction for the much-anticipated Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor fight.

Common sense would tell you that Rousey is probably pulling for McGregor in the fight. McGregor is obviously a UFC star just like her and will be representing the entire sport of MMA when he gets into the ring with Mayweather. McGregor has also been supportive of Rousey in the past. And while Mayweather did have some surprisingly nice things to say about Rousey after her loss to Nunes, Rousey and Mayweather have endured a well-documented beef that has played itself out through the media. At one time, there were even some people who thought Rousey, not McGregor, would be the one fighting Mayweather (remember those days?!).

But despite Rousey’s close connection with McGregor, it doesn’t seem like she’s ready to pick him to beat Mayweather. She kept her prediction for the fight brief and stopped short of picking either fighter to win.

"I think they’ll both make a lot of money," she said, before smiling and exiting the TMZ Sports interview.

It’s not exactly the prediction people were looking for. But if nothing else, Rousey made a prediction that definitely won’t be wrong. You can check out her full interview with TMZ Sports in the clip above.
