Purveyor of bro-friendly goods Abercrombie & Fitch is seeking to clean up its image. Its first step? Offering Jersey Shore castmember Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino a "substantial payment" to wear gear from different brands on the show. The most recent episode features Mr. Sorrentino rocking a pair of A&F sweats around the streets of Florence.

“We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans,” said A&F in a statement released Tuesday evening.

The company extended its "generous" offer to the other castmembers, and is currently waiting for a response. In an ironic turn, one of the brand's more popular shirts is a graphic tee emblazoned with "The Fitchuation."

We don't think The Situation has to worry about clothing endorsements though, he just got a tuxedo line named after him.
