Andy Warhol's 1962 32 Campbell's Soup Cans elevated the company to a new symbolic status. Andy's various versions of the soup cans, in all their colors and names, made a comment on mass-consumerism and the iconic nature of the brand. To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Campbell's Soup Company has made special-edition Andy Warhol-themed cans in bright colors, being sold at Target Stores everywhere this Sunday. Only 1.2 million cans have been produced, and they'll cost 75 cents each.
