Full-time muralist, part-time naturalist ROA travels the world beautifying neighborhoods with massive images of finely detailed animals. Occasionally, and much to our delight, he dips inside and creates thrilling gallery installations that capture his innate ability to manipulate found objects.
ROA's next exhibition, CARRION, will open next week in Australia. His sober message, documenting the tenuous cohabitation of animal and man in the built environment, pushes the material forward. As always, he's mixing indigenous animals with human made architectural elements.
CARRION opens on November 30 and will be on view through December 16.
