The prospect of new paintings by Todd James never fails to excite. Tonight, art entrepreneur Andy Valmorbida opens his latest pop-up effort, combining the work of James and Alexis Ross. Naturally, we're pretty hyped.
Both artists share a penchant for tongue-in-cheek animation inspired imagery. James, as you'll know, has a thing for depicting pirates. Ross likes to toy with "The Sexual Misadventures of Ronaldo the Great." Both form fascinating, almost absurd, narratives that reveal the fine line between fact and fantasy.
This is one not to miss.
