Kiehl’s has always considered men separate but equal when it comes to its world-renowned products. From moisturizers to shaving cream, Kiehl’s makes some of the best stuff for your skin, and in 2011 the company opened its first spa. SPA 1851, located on New York City’s Upper East Side, brings all of the company’s philosophies and treatments together in one location. Recently, the spa dedicated a space specifically for men to get a facial, a mustache trim, an old school shave, or a full cut by a master barber. “It was important to us that we create a unique experience that specifically caters to our male consumers,” says Kiehl’s president, Chris Salgardo. Turns out, 30% of Kiehl’s customers are men, so the services will be put to good use.
