Commissioned by Kaneka, Berlin-based design studio Formfjord has designed the Xix, created from the Japanese manufacturer's OLED panels and two solid bodies of cut-glass. The concept takes on the form of a crystalline prism that emits, reflects, and refracts light within its surroundings. Its shape is created from two reflected pyramids that give the Xix six corners and multiple triangular faces that interact with the brightness of the setting.
