Art communities and pop culture enthusiasts alike cannot deny how iconic the Polaroid picture is. From 1947 when it first hit the market to 2003's favorite mantra "Shake it like a Polaroid picture," the instant camera has made its mark on the world.
The exhibition Polaroid Years: Instant Photography and Experimentation presents the largest museum survey of artwork created with Polaroid cameras ever held in America. It is happening at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Centre at Vassar College in New York. The exhibit will display photos from 40 artists spanning from the Polaroid's first release to modern times. You can see the show now until June 30.
