In an abrupt move, Mark McNairy has parted ways with Woolrich Woolen MillsWWD reports. As of now, there's no further details to what caused the move, but the publication did state that fall/winter 2013 will be McNairy's final collection with the luxury spin-off of the Pennsylvania-based workwear brand. Also, WWM will not produce a spring/summer 2014 collection, and will take a minimum of a one-season hiatus.

Woolrich has restructured its brand significantly in recent times, so it's possible that this move could have been a predetermined shake-up.

And in true McNairy fashion, he exited with a bang, posting this tweet: "HAPPY NOW ALL YOU WHINEY BITCHES?"

For those unfamiliar, McNairy was referencing #menswear critics who complained about his collections at WWM, and wish his predecessor, Daisuke Suzuki, was still the designer.

All of this considered, it doesn't appear to be a huge loss on McNairy's end. He's still designing his eponymous brand, collaborating with everyone, co-designing collections for Billionaire Boys Club with Pharrell Williams, and venturing out with Williams to start BBC Black. We're sure McNairy will spring back, but it will be interesting to see who takes over his post.
