Imagine if hipsters roamed the Earth two millenia ago. Maybe they did trek around Ancient Rome in their sandals, playing panpipes in the agora, bartering for tattered togas. Photographer Léo Caillard considered what that era of hipsters would look like and along with photo retoucher Alexis Persanihe came up with these photos. Caillard and Persani digitally added contemporary hipster gear to the mostly nude sculptures, giving them a Williamsburg, Brooklyn circa 2013 vibe, only way more chiseled (bad pun intended). Sunglasses, denim, faded tees, and cuffs on cuffs on cuffs feature prominently in these photos, providing just the right amount of arrogance and coolness.
