Land Rover and Architectural Digest To Unveil Range Rover Inspired Art Installation by HWKN (Video)

In a partnership with Architectural Digest and New York-based design firm Hollwich Kushner (HWKN), Land Rover North America will unveil a sculpture in New York's Meatpacking District on June 6 that is inspired by the aluminum structure of the 2013 Range Rover.

The new build by Land Rover allowed them to make the vehicle 700 lbs lighter which resulted in a "faster and more fuel-efficient" says Brand Vice President Kim McCullough. The art installation entitled Climbing Up uses the same aluminum in its construction. HWKN drew inspiration from the angles and design of the car and created a tower of aluminum rivet-bonded triangular plates to hold it up. 

The public can witness the unveiling of the structure at 9 Avenue and West 14 Street in Manhattan on Thursday, June 6, and it will be on display from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on June 7-8 and from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on June 9.
