We're always happy to hear about FriendsWithYou and their projects, even dropping everything to have a chat with the collective. Although they moved to Los Angeles last November, their ideas are simply too large for one city to hold. Consequently, their latest project is an inflatable, interactive installation located in Asia.
Commissioned by Hyundai, they created a bouncy work featuring their familiar happy, colorful characters. The 25-foot-wide piece entitled Happy Giftwas shown during the month of May at the Hyundai Department Gardens in Seoul. The group explains on their site: "The piece is hypnotically striped and induces a euphoric feeling as it begs to be played with." It was a hit with kids, as you can tell from the photos.
