Thanks in part to Jay Z, Pablo Picasso's name is being mentioned a lot more often these days. The song "Picasso Baby" introduced a new generation to the artist and a gang of others, and it revealed to the world just how badly Hova wants to own their art. While there are plenty of Picasso's works on the market, not many people can say that they own his home.
This villa in the South of France called the Mas de Notre-Dame du Vie belonged to the late painter and is back on the market for a hefty $220 million dollars. The property has been empty since 1986 when Jacqueline Roque (Picasso's wife) passed away. Its 35 rooms have been renovated by the current owner who only paid between $13 million and $15 millon for the property a few years ago. Do the renovations warrant a $200 million dollar price hike? Definitely not. But the opportunity to own Picasso's home is guaranteed to entice buyers. We'll see if someone's pockets are deep enough.
