In the early 2000s, performance artist Brendan Fowler took to the stage with just his iPod and sing-talked as a fictitious pop star/band called BARR. He later expanded the project to involve a live band.

Years later, Fowler is back with another performance piece, a "radical update" of BARR, titled And Martin. Instead of pop music, the work will pull from TED Talks and stand-up as the inspiration for his work. We're excited to see how Fowler will transform his new source material.

And Martin will be performed in the MoMA atrium today at 4:30 p.m. A live-stream of the performance will be available here.
