A sweet new show at London’s Hanover Square location of the Blain|Southern Gallerys brings together two of the most colorful, dynamic works of the early 1990s. Damien Hirst and Felix Gonzales-Torres are showing side-by-side works that take their visual cues from the signifier of candy. Hirst’s “Visual Candy” paintings provide the on-wall ballast for the two-artist show, while Gonzalez Torres’ show consists of his “Untitled,” where heaps of brightly colored candies are piled throughout the room.

The show is special for more than just the pairing between the two artists. Never before have Hirst’s Visual Candy paintings been shown together all at once. Take a look at how the two artists compliment each other.
